Everywhere, I find nobody like to do something extra, nobody willing to go to the extra mile. A successful person knows the magical compound effect of going extra mile.
Warren Buffet, my idol. In value investing approach suggest, invest in a business which has wide, durable, sustainable, competitive MOAT, understand MOAT first, “The competitive advantage that one company has over other companies in the same industry”
The wider the moat, the larger and more sustainable the competitive advantage. For example brand name, products, pricing power, distribution.
So what is your MOAT in the crowded competitive market? Nobody has it in first place, but over the period of time successful people develop it by hard work and dedication. You can develop your MOAT, once you develop it; you have to wide it every time.
Proactive, Humble, Hard Work, Dedication, Self-Discipline, Self-Control, Direction, Time Management, Team Work and going extra mile will be your MOAT.
The one we are discussing is going extra mile. Doing extra work will give you unbelievable success in life, and it will develop your MOAT over the period of time, it will not reward you in the first time, but it develops your MOAT. People are always related their work with the rewards, but you have to scale your work first to scale your rewards. What you have in your hand? You have only work in your hand and how you do your work determines the success, and if you have a habit of going extra mile, then you become unlimited success.
To go for a big success in life, you must find opportunities to go beyond the requirement and finally reach to accomplish more than requirement.
If you have a habit of extra mile, you will find unlimited opportunities and unlimited success. There are no boundaries to do extra work, by doing extra work you are adding greater value to your work, which is ultimately rewards you. If you do one extra activity in a day, you can be far ahead of the competition within a year by doing 365 extra mile walk. It’s a simple thing to do, but willingness to do matters a lot. By going extra mile, you are increasing your expectation, which is fulfilled guaranteed.
You never increase the value of your services by just serving the customer. All we are serving to each other. The world is now in service era. Go and serve better, you will be rewarded extra.
Nothing is for ordinary. You must become extraordinary by going extra mile. The extra mile road is never crowded because nobody wants to walk extra. It is better to be in a position where competition is less, which ultimately gives you competitive advantage.
So, in which area you would like to go extra mile, I think you can go each and every area of your life, the first and foremost area is your self-development, go and purchase few good books dedicate your whole year, you will be a great person after completion of the year. So, go get it.
